The Vertical, once a far second to Horizontal, is now a widely installed orientation because it is electrically efficient and simple to maintain.
The vertical is for plants with flows of 500,000 gpd + and are designed in 30" and 60" water level versions. Vertical units are customizable for existing channels and drop-in retrofit systems are available for most existing vertical UV equipment.
Segments of the modules are turned on and off in relation to flow to conserve energy and lamp life.
Low pressure high output (80 &155 watt)
Low pressure high intensity (150 & 320 watt)
Verification bioassay reports as acquired from Siemens Industries (7-31-2011) are available for engineers.
Systems are designed for outdoor use. Ballast enclosures and PLC systems should be kept covered to prolong system life and protect workers.
